It rained on our parade yesterday. Literally. Just about the time the parade was supposed to start, the skies opened, the thunder roared, and the lightening flashed. So, no Memorial Day Parade.
So often the storms of life interfere with our plans. Disaster, illness, discouragement – they set in and force us to abandon or change our plans. Sometimes we don’t have a “plan B.”
Disappointments often hurt, but they’re not the end of the world. God probably has something better planned. Focus on the needs of someone else. When I reach out and help a friend or neighbor, it’s surprising how much better life becomes, even if it’s with a note or a word of encouragement.
