We said good-bye to an elderly friend yesterday. She left a legacy of love and service for God, and a legacy of love and care among her family and the people whose lives she touched, As I listened to what others had to say about her, I wondered what kind of legacy I would leave behind. How will family, friends, and others whose lives I have touched, remember me? Will I have prayed enough, will I have cared enough, will I have served enough? Will people say, “Here was a woman of faith who loved her Lord?”
Our friend has left behind a sweet fragrance of her life among us. We celebrated her life with tears and joy.
