Choices – we all have to make them, from the time we first recognize right from wrong until we die. Yesterday was “Sanctity of Life” Sunday, and today thousands of pro-lifers are marching for life in Washington, D.C. I hope and pray that abortion is not a choice you make – your baby is a gift from God. Having children is not a convenience but a prize.

Robert Frost’s poem “The Road not Taken,” evokes an image of a crossroads in life. Which way should I go? Who should I date? What college should I attend? What career should I choose? Who should I marry? Where should I live? Of course we have many mundane daily choices to make, but even deciding to have an Egg McMuffin instead of oatmeal for breakfast can have important future consequences.

Robert Frost said in his poem that the road he chose made all the difference. The choices you and I make each day reflect who we are and the direction we plan to take. I am glad for a Guide and Compass along my way, namely the Lord and His Word. Sometimes I don’t follow them, even as I don’t listen to the GPS or follow the road map. But how much better it is when i listen and obey. I do not regret the road I have taken, although sometimes I have to backtrack if I take a wrong turn.
