A wedding – the gathering of family and friends to celebrate the marriage of a man and a woman. So many hopes and expectations. Those of us who are married or have been married know there are trials and troubles to overcome along with the joy and pleasure. So we wish the newly married couple well and continue to pray that they will be overcomers, grow together, and become truly one.

A wedding is also a time when we renew acquaintances, share what has been happening, enjoy being with freinds and making new friends. And we wonder where the time has gone – we remember these adult children as little kids. (Am I really that old?)

Marriage is a sacred trust from God. I see too many people today taking their vows lightly, or not taking vows at all. I think we need strong committments in marriages in order for our country to be healthy; we need unified families to make our country strong.
